Once you have it installed, one way to encourage your readers to actually use it is to ask them for suggestions, and then write about them so that people can actually see you are open to new ideas. Readers are allowed to post anonomously, which may help people feel more comfortable leaving comments, espescially those lurkers we all seem to have, but if you like knowing who is commenting, there is a way to change that in your setup.
